The tragic and untimely passing of Todd Morici Jr. has left a deep sadness in the Clifton and Montclair communities. Known for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and vibrant energy, Todd’s death has shocked and devastated everyone who knew him. He was a beloved member of both communities, and his passing has left a void that will be felt for years to come.
Todd, a proud graduate of Montclair Kimberley Academy (MKA), was remembered as a natural leader and a kind soul. He was known for his ability to bring people together and make everyone feel welcome. Whether it was organizing events at school, helping a friend in need, or simply sharing a laugh, Todd was always the one to lift the spirits of those around him. Teachers and friends described him as someone who was genuinely interested in others, someone who took the time to make connections and build lasting relationships. His enthusiasm for life was contagious, and his presence lit up any room he entered.
After completing his degree in business administration, Todd had begun to explore entrepreneurial opportunities, fueled by his passion for creativity and innovation. He was excited about the future and eager to make his mark in the world of business. But beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Todd was also an avid skateboarder. The sport was not just a hobby for him; it was a lifestyle that brought him joy, peace, and a sense of community. Skateboarding allowed Todd to express himself and connect with others who shared his passion for the sport.
On the evening of the accident, Todd was out for a solo ride near a local skatepark when tragedy struck. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Todd succumbed to his injuries, leaving his family, friends, and community heartbroken.
A close friend of Todd’s reflected on the impact he had on their lives, saying, “He had this ability to bring people together, to make them feel like they mattered. He was the first person to check in on you when you were down and the last to leave your side.” Todd’s legacy as a loving friend, compassionate leader, and passionate skateboarder will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Marrocco Memorial Chapel in Clifton, NJ, on Sunday, April 13th, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by a funeral mass at Saint Philip The Apostle Parish on Monday, April 14th, at 10:00 am. Todd will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
